In Škocjanski zatok Nature Reserve, DOPPS – BirdLife Slovenia carries out the surveillance upon the implementation of Nature Conservation Act, Decree on Škocjanski zatok Nature Reserve, Decree on the Management Plan of Škocjanski zatok Nature reserve for the period from 2015–2024 and Decree on the prohibition of the vehicle driving in the natural environment. The wardens, particularly trained for this task, have mandate upon the Nature Conservation Act, and are identified by special uniform and card. They have the right to demand and have insight into identification documents, and to sanction the offenders with warning, penalties, and by seizing the objects used for the offence or caused by it.
