The Golden Eagle (Aquila chrysaetos) has now been added to the list of species recorded in the reserve.
Although more commonly associated with mountainous areas, this time its journey brought it to a wetland just a stone’s throw from the sea. It was observed flying low over the reserve before quickly gaining altitude and continuing on its way.
With this sighting, the list of bird species recorded in the reserve now stands at an impressive 270 species!
