On 22 April 2026, a Nature Day was held at Elvira Vatovec Primary School in Prade, bringing together the Faculty of Education, DOPPS – BirdLife Slovenia, teachers, and pupils. We organised a workshop focusing on six bird species, their nests, eggs, and diet. The workshop featured 3D-printed food models, photographs, and various natural materials. Promotional materials from the CREA+ Bird project were also presented.

Each pupil was assigned a bird species and learned about its most important characteristics. During the event, pupils helped visitors identify the different elements associated with each species. The visitors’ task was to use the information provided to correctly assemble a set belonging to a particular bird species. Each set included a photograph of the bird, its name, a nest, an egg, and examples of its typical diet.

Through an interactive and hands-on approach, the workshop introduced visitors to the diversity of the bird world, while giving pupils an active role in sharing knowledge and developing their environmental literacy.
