The most interesting species observed on regular weekly bird monitoring in Škocjanski zatok Nature Reserve (21.11.2013) :
- Bearded Tit (Panurus biarmicus): 2 individui (Bonifika, 4th observatory)
- Gadwall (Anas strepera): 2 ind. – male and female (Bonifika, 2nd obser.)
- Eurasian Wigeon (Anas penelope): 35 ind. (Lagoon)
- Pintail (Anas acuta): 1 ind. (Lagoon)
- Common Pochard (Aythya ferina): 9 ind. (Lagoon and bonifika – 3rd obser.)
- Tufted Duck (Aythya fuligula): 2 ind.. (bonifika – 3. obser.)
- Black-necked Grebe (Podiceps nigricollis): 1 ind.. (Lagoon)
- Cattle Egret (Bubulcus ibis): 6 ind. (Bonifika, 1st and 3rd obser.)
- Marsh Harrier (Circus aeruginosus): 1 os. (Bonifika, 3. obser.)
- Water Rail (Rallus aquaticus): 2 os.
- Northern Lapwing (Vanellus vanellus): 2 os. (Lagoon)
Other interesting observations:
Northern Shoveler (Anas clypeata): 75 ind.
Common Teal (Anas crecca): 243 ind.
Pygmy Cormorant (Phalacrocorax pygmeus): 5 ind.
Little Egret (Egretta garzetta): 13 ind.
Great White Egret (Egretta alba): 3 ind.
Grey Heron (Ardea cinerea): 26 ind.
Eurasian Sparrowhawk (Accipiter nisus): 1 ind.
Northern Goshawk (Accipiter gentilis): 1 ind.
Common Coot (Fulica atra): 631 ind.
Green Sandpiper (Tringa ochropus):1 ind. (Lagoon)
Greenshank (Tringa nebularia): 17 ind. (lagoon, Bonifika)
Common Snipe (Gallinago gallinago): 2 ind.. (Bonifika)
Common Kingfisher (Alcedo atthis): 12 ind.
Penduline Tit (Remiz pendulinus): 2 ind. (Bonifica)
Cetti’s Warbler (Cettia cetti): 14 ind. (Lagoon, Bonifika)
Common Chiffchaff (Phylloscopus collybita): 4 ind. (Lagoon, Bonifika)
Hedge Accentor (Prunella modularis): 7 ind.
Pied Wagtail (Motacilla alba): 1 ind.
Water Pipit (Anthus spinoletta): 10 ind.
Meadow Pipit (Anthus pratensis): 2 ind.
Cirl Bunting (Emberiza cirlus): 1 ind.
Reed Bunting (Emberiza schoeniclus): 17 ind.
